The Africa Christian Fellowship (UK & Eire) is a Christian worship, relief, development organization dedicated to working with students,  children, families and communities to  make Christian values known and  overcome poverty . Motivated by our faith in Jesus Christ, ACF serves alongside Churches, and organizations that share its vision to demonstrate the unconditional love of God. The ACF serves all people regardless of religion, race, ethnicity or gender.

The Role: Office Administrator(volunteer)

The  volunteer administrator would  provide both clerical and administrative support to the Directors and Officers of the organisation, and co-ordinate the actives of  the main branches from the Head Office at Crown House, 231 kings Road Reading (Cemetary Junction) . To be effective in this role, the incombent would find attending some of the weekly prayer and bible study meetings of ACF important  to performing the role.

The  Office Administrator should be able to:

  • use Microsoft Word, Outlook, Powerpoint, Excel, Access,  and skype etc., to produce correspondence and documents, and maintain presentations, spreadsheets and databases;
  • devising and maintaining office systems;
  • booking rooms and meeting facilities;
  • using content management systems to maintain and update the ACF websites and
  • internal databases;
  • assist in the publication of leaflets and the annual magazine of ACF
  • invoicing;
  • managing and maintaining budgets;
  • liaising with leaders of ACF branches and  with external contacts;
  • ordering and maintaining stationery and equipment supplies;
  • organising and storing paperwork, documents and computer-based information.

The role would require a average of 8 hours a week  including weekends on a very flexible bases.
